Those of you in the U.S. patiently waiting for the release of Glenmorangie Astar, Glenmorangie’s newest designer whisky, will be happy to hear your wait is almost over. I was speaking a few minutes ago with my Glenmo’s contact here in the U.S. and he told me that the bottles allocated to the U.S. arrived at the port in Newark this past Friday. The official launch date: March 1st.

I was at a Glenmorangie tasting recently and tried the Signet.
It was very nice, but I’m not sure it justified the $240 price tag.
Unfortunately, they didn’t have any Astar for us to try.
Hopefully, they will carry Astar on their “by the glass” menu so I can try it.
I really like the Astar Sam. More than Signet. Two completely different beasts too!
I bought a bottle at Heathrow when I was flying back. The biggest mistake I made with this purchase was that I did not buy 6 more. How can I describe this bottle as anything other that amazing. The only downside was that the older version was half the price. Where can I buy this in DC or Virginia?
