There will be a new bourbon in the “Jefferson’s” line of bourbons. I believe this one is the oldest. The official age statement will be 17 years old, but it’s actually almost 18.

Bourbon enthusiasts will be pleased to know that this “wheated” bourbon is from the silent Stitzel-Weller distillery, so there is definitely a rarity value to the whiskey.

Approximately 2100 cases (six bottles per case) of the whiskey will be bottled next week at 94 proof. Kentucky will get more product than any other state. It will sell for about $90.

They’re sending me a review bottle as soon as it’s bottled. I’ll let you know my thoughts as soon as I taste it. I am really looking forward to it.
